If an abnormality is found during screening, you will have rapid access to one of our leading private specialists.

Your ovarian screening programme
At your first consultation, we will get to know you and gather some information that will enable us to advise you about screening and your health. If you are referred to us by your gynaecologist or other healthcare professional, we will work together to devise the most appropriate screening programme for you, taking your previous history into account.

Opaldia’s ovarian screening programme usually consists of an ultrasound scan and regular blood tests. 
 
How much does the service cost?
The cost may vary slightly depending upon the frequency of screening tests, but the cost will always be discussed with you before your screening programme commences so that you are fully aware in advance of what it entails.
 
It is important to understand that private medical insurance rarely covers screening, so you will probably be paying for this service personally.
 
Fees are payable annually in advance. We take most credit and debit cards. We can accept a cheque supported by a banker’s card provided that the cheque can be cleared 7 days prior to your first appointment.
